I’m not sure where I first heard this saying it was a long time ago and I didn’t give it much credence but as I get older it makes more sense. Wealth comes in many forms. Do you have enough money to live comfortable and do what you want to do? Money doesn’t make your life happy but it sure can make life easier to live. Wealth can also be equated with good friends and a close relationships with your family. Riches doesn’t only have to be associated with how much money is in your bank account. Your life can be rich in many worthwhile things and family and relationships are near the top for living life well. Health especially as we grow older becomes important in what I would value even more so than money. I can win the lottery or find a way to earn more money, maybe Bitcoin or maybe not, but you can’t always recover good health. But, what is important is recognizing the value of good health and developing a plan on how to obtain the best health outcomes we can. Getting older doesn’t have to mean getting sicker. Together we can find a way to better health. It would be wise to do so because if you aren’t healthy enough to enjoy your golden years the value of your bank account clearly doesn’t matter. Some say wisdom comes with old age. My definition of wisdom would be the use of experience, knowledge, and good judgement in decision making. It also could be the body of knowledge that develops within a specific group. So lets put our collective heads together and create some old age wisdom.
