There are no guarantees that your life will work out a certain way or that you can control the outcome that you desire. Life at times will be hard sometimes brutally so. This revelation is nothing new and if you live long enough you will see and experience these hardships. But, what to do about what life-aging and difficulties that are going to present themselves to you. Prepare yourself mentally and physically for the challenges that you know will come. Be grateful for what you do have and anticipate that one day you may lose them. For instance I enjoy trail running, swimming and biking. I like to be outside in nature and feel the sun and wind. When I am outside doing these things I always try and take time to look around and take in the sights, and take notice of what it feels like to move my body through space. I am always grateful for being able to do these things one more time. Because I know that this might be the last time. It might end tomorrow I may have an accident, get sick or have something else happen that would end my ability to do these things. So appreciate and anticipate. Eat well exercise and be grateful but also know that there is impermanence in life and change will happen so be flexible and adapt to the change or you may suffer more than you need to. Life can be tough so you have to be able to adapt or be overwhelmed.
